Stepp, Mrs. Mary (no replies)

Mrs. Mary Stepp, of North Buffalo township, is in jail charged with trying to poison her husband, George Stepp, and their three children. Their married life of late has not been very harmonious, and, after separation, Mrs. Stepp returned home recently and made buckwheat cakes for the family. In the latter she mixed rat poison, intending to kill her husband and children, and then herself. They escaped death through taking too much of the poison. Levi Stepp of Worthington, brother of George Stepp, made the information against her. Mrs. Stepp is about 35 and her husband 60 years old. Kittanning Tribune
