From the VALLEY DAILY NEWS, Tarentum, PA, Monday, 11 November 1946, p. 8:

LEECHBURG K. OF P., ELECTED TO STATE OFFICE, IS LAUDED

E.A. Stull, the first Grand Lodge officer from Leechburg Knights of Pythias lodge in the 65 years it has been chartered, was honored by his home lodge at a testimonial dinner held recently at The Gables, on the Kittanning road.

Fifty-five Pythians, including several others high in the state organization, were present. Armstrong County Prothonotary Herbert G. Gates presided as toastmaster.

Stull was elected by the state (Grand Lodge) Pythians recently as their Grand Outer Guard, which is the first seat in a succession of chairs leading to Grand Chancellor. In recognition of this honor his own lodge presented him with a K. of P. ring at this dinner.

Speakers were James S. Sellars of Ford City, retiring Grand Chancellor, "Colonel" Barracks of Pittsburgh and Grand Master of Arms and Grand Inner Guard, of Washington, Pa., and Greensburg, respectively. The son of the honored guest, Rev. Thoburn Stull, of Dayton, also spoke.

The committee in charge comprised Fritz Lange, Cecil Kipp and Paul Csonka. A friend [sic] chicken dinner was served.
